Tim Carter, a presenter at Somer Valley FM since day one, hosts ‘Off the Beaten Track’ every Monday at 6pm. The aim of the show is to introduce listeners to exceptional music drawn from a diverse range of genres. A typical show might include a newly emerging folk act from a remote Scottish isle, a classic tune from a veteran of Ghanaian highlife, some irresistibly danceable jazz evocative of a hip New York basement club and a couple of hits by original artists who achieved mainstream success against the odds
